Green Kyoto

I’ve been watching closely what’s in the shop Pixel Canvas lately and I like it very much.  So I went to check the forum too and when I saw they had fun challenges there I couldn’t resist to log in. This is the page I maid for the Friday lift (August 7th) but I think I just let myself wander way to far. I like it though because I was able to use this picture I love from Kyoto. I especially love the reflection in the water 🙂 What do you think ? Too much green for you ?! LoL

Ca fait un moment que j’admire ce qu’il y a dans la boutique de Pixel Canvas et j’aime beaucoup ce que je vois. Alors je suis allez voir aussi dans le forum et quand j’ai vu les challenges sympas qu’ils proposent je n’ai pas pu résister à m’inscrire. Voici la page que j’ai faite dans le cadre du Friday lift (vendredi lift… et pas face lift SVP). Je crois que je me suis bien trop laissée aller et ça ressemble pas beaucoup à la page de base mais j’aime bien quand même car j’ai pu utiliser cette photo prise à Kyoto que j’aime beaucoup (j’adore le reflet dans l’eau). Qu’en pensez-vous ? Trop vert pour vous ? MDR (=mort de rire : pour moi qui suis nouvelle blogeuse encore une abréviation que j’ai appris dernièrement. ha ha ha)

This week, I went to visit the new Clean & Simple style forum called Publiscrap (if I’m not mistaken it’s the new forum for Digiscrapub but if I’m wrong let me know). Anyway. I saw they have a place for visitors and they had a challenge going on over there… After a lot of  admiring all the wonderful pages of the “clean” scrappers, if I may say, and because it was about a scraplift (I think that’s the right term !!) of Zenobia’s page I decided to have a try myself.

I had a picture of a temple (detail) I took in Matsushima (again Matsushima. What do you expect ! It’s really nice over there !!) but I had no clue how to turn it in a layout. I also had freebie papers I liked because they reminded me of Japanese papers and I thought they would be great with the picture as the old wood was a little green with the moss.

It might be still too many colors for “Clean & Simple” but thanks to the challenge I was finally inspired for this picture.

Cette semaine, j’ai visité un forum de scrap “Clean & Simple” appelé Publiscrap (je crois que c’est la nouvelle maison du forum Digiscrapub mais je me trompe peut-être).

Bref, j’ai vu qu’il y avait une section ouverte aux visiteurs et qu’ils avaient un challenge en cours. Apres avoir admiré longuement les très belles pages de ces scrappeuses “clean”, si je puis dire, et parce que c’était un scraplift (encore un terme dont je ne suis pas sûre) d’une page de Zenobia , j’ai décidé de m’y essayer aussi.

J’avais une photo d’un détail de temple prise à Matsushima (encore Matsushima ! Que voulez-vous ? C’est très beau là-bas !!) mais je n’avais aucune idée de la façon dont j’allais la présenter en scrap. J’avais aussi un pack de papiers freebies que je trouvais très sympa car très ressemblant aux papiers japonais. Je me suis dis qu’ils iraient très bien avec la photo car le bois du temple était un peu vert avec la mousse dessus.

Les couleurs sont peut-être encore trop nombreuses pour du “Clean & Simple” mais grâce à ce challenge j’ai enfin trouvé l’inspiration.

Japan’s beauty

Look what I made yesterday, with an old picture I took really fast in the streets of Kyoto as we met, by chance, 2 apprentices Geisha, called maiko in Japanese. My picture was taken so much in a hurry it was a little blurry (still maybe, I know !) so I put a little artistic effect (does it show ?) just to make it look like it was on purpose (^o^)v. What you can do with PSE7 to hide your mistakes ! I’m amazed everyday.

At first I put a mask on the picture but it was too much. I just put a shadow, no frame, no nothing. I think it’s better.
